This document explains how to export a Canvas quiz as a QTI file. This allows for easy importing of the content into another course. Once imported the quiz questions and content may be edited as normal.

Exporting 


1. Navigate to the quiz.

2. Select Build.

3. Select the ellipses > Export Content:




The Quiz data will appear under Exports: 




4. Click the link to download the exported data as a Zip file. 



Importing


  1. Create a New Quiz

  2. If prompted to choose a quiz Engine, select New Quizzes:


3. Edit Quiz details as normal and click Build.

4. Click the options icon and select Import Content

5. Drag and drop, or browse for the downloaded file.

6. Click Import.

7. The imported Quiz file will appear as a new quiz in Build mode.
