Purpose: This help doc outlines how to create a Reading quiz in Canvas, if you would like students to record the percentage of reading completed for an assignment in Canvas.
1. Create a New Quiz and use the New Quizzes engine (if prompted).
2. Choose Multiple Choice as the quiz content:
3. Set the answers as percentages:
This way, students can select the multiple choice answer that corresponds with the percentage of the reading they completed.
4. Under Options, select Vary points by answer:
5. Assign a point value that matches the question answer:
Now, when students take the quiz, they only need to select the appropriate percentage, and the quiz will be automatically graded accordingly:
