Purpose: This document outlines the scope of LMS Support
LMS Support exists to provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff with Canvas.
We can assist with general questions regarding Canvas, technical difficulties with assignments and quizzes, course settings, and access.
For issues with your TMU account or technical needs outside of Canvas, please reach out to the IT Service Desk by emailing servicedesk@masters.edu or calling (661) 362-2876.
If you are a student and do not have access to a course you believe you are registered for, please reach out to registrar@masters.edu.
If you are a department admin and need the professor changed for a course, please reach out to registrar@masters.edu so that the change is recorded in PowerCampus.
We are unable to assist students and professors with specialized technological requirements outside of Canvas, such as specialty course-specific software and font installations. The Service Desk and LMS Support do not generally support student endpoint device maintenance and updates.
There are niche technical aspects to almost every department on campus, and LMS Support is committed to supporting the general success of instructors and students using the Canvas platform. Students may run into technical difficulties, or certain processes require elevated admin access to accomplish. Each department is encouraged to support its own students in coursework when subject-specific technical steps are required.
