Purpose: How to enable and modify settings for LockDown Browser.
Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that prohibits students from navigating away from their online quiz or from accessing tools or programs within their computer that would allow them to cheat. When students use LockDown Browser to access a quiz, according to your desired settings, students can be made unable to print, copy, paste, visit other websites, access other applications, or close a quiz until it is submitted for grading
Note: IT provides guidance for students on downloading and installing LockDown Browser here: https://tmuservicedesk.helpdocsite.com/canvas/downloading-respondus-lockdown-browser.
1. Open your course in Canvas.
2. Click the LockDown Browser tab on the left sidebar.

Note: If the Lockdown Browser tab is not present, please open Settings, locate the Lockdown Browser tab, and click the tricolon to enable:
3. The LockDown Browser dashboard will display a list of all quizzes in your course. Select the arrow next to each quiz and click Settings.
4. Select Require LockDown Browser and any other optional settings you'd like to enable. Then click Save + Close:

Note:
- Lockdown Browser no longer provides an option to allow students to view exam results outside of Lockdown Browser. This means that if Lockdown Browser is required to take the exam, students will need to use Lockdown to view exam results (if you have enabled visibility for exam results).
- For Classic Quizzes, you have the option to enable or disable the Lockdown Browser requirement for viewing quiz results:
