How do I reset my password?  There are three main ways to reset your password.  If you an on-campus staff member or a faculty member with a TMU-owned computer (if a laptop, then make sure it's connected to a docking station), you can press CTRL + ALT + Delete and click on "Change a password".  If you are unable to reset your password with this method, please follow the other two methods in our login issue documentation.

Which web browser should I use?  Unless a program/website that you use requires a specific browser, we highly recommend using Microsoft EdgeMozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome.

I just plugged a new device into a port in my office and now my phone/internet is not working.  Our port security system kicked in when the device was plugged in.  This shuts down the connection, turning off your phone and disabling the connection to the internet.  Please notify us prior to plugging a new device in so that we can either be watching for the port-security trip and clear it when it pops up.  As a note, please make sure to not plug any personal devices into a port without prior authorization from IT Operations.

How do I set up 2 factor authentication?  Please use our 2 factor authentication documentation.

I need assistance with Canvas.  Please contact LMS Support (lmssupport@masters.edu or 661.362.2341) so they can assist with any Canvas assistance you need.

Are my files being backed up?  Please check and make sure that OneDrive is running by looking at the bottom right of your computer's taskbar.  If there is a blue cloud, you are good to go.  If the cloud is white or grayed out, please contact the IT Service Desk.

How do I get my phone/personal computer onto the WiFi?  Please connect to TMU-WiFi.  This will bring up a window that request you to agree to our TMU network terms of service.  You will then be prompted to sign in using your TMU faculty/staff username and password.

I'd like to move my equipment to another part of my office.  Please fill out our Office Request Form at least 24-48 hours in advance of the move.  One of our technicians will come over and assist you.

I'd like to set up my email on my smartphone.  Please visit our documentation for setting email accounts up on iPhones and Androids.

I'm going to be working from home but I need access to files from my department network drive.  You will need to use Palo Alto's GlobalProtect (our campus VPN program) with a remote desktop connection to access on-campus resources.  If you have a TMU laptop, GlobalProtect should already be installed, but if it's not installed or if you are using a personal computer, you will need to follow our documentation for installing and using a VPN on a Windows Computer or a Mac.  You will also need to contact us so that we can make sure you have the appropriate account permissions.
