Purpose:

The step-by-step procedures for configuring both your computer and the physical Canon printer to successfully print booklets (Saddle Fold) documents on TMU issued devices.

How to Print a Booklet (Saddle Fold)

Printer-Side Configuration

    1. Go to the physical Canon printer touchscreen panel.

    2. Verify that your paper (e.g., Letter/LTR) is loaded into the designated tray (e.g., Tray 2).

    3. Ensure the paper is seated perfectly flat and the plastic tray guides are pushed flush against the edges of the stack.

    4. Confirm on the printer screen that the tray's registered paper size matches the actual paper loaded (LTR).

Note: If the printer panel displays "
The Appropriate Paper Size, LTR, is not available," the paper guides inside the

tray are misaligned, causing the printer to read the incorrect size.

When should I Contact the IT Service Desk?

Please contact the IT Service Desk for administrative assistance if you encounter the following:

  • Locked Driver Settings: The Device Settings tab or Properties windows are locked out by administrative control settings.
  • Custom Paper Profiles Needed: You are printing on specialty media (such as heavy 28-bond or non-standard 9x12 dimensions) that requires an administrative custom size profile pushed from the print server.
