Purpose: This article explains how professors can add another attempt on a quiz or exam in Canvas. You may want to add an extra attempt if the student is given a make-up quiz or if they experienced technical difficulties. LMS Support is able to add additional attempts, however they will not do so without the express direction of the professor.

1. Navigate to the Quiz

2. On the top right side of the page, click Moderate:

3. Locate the correct student and select the pencil icon next to their name:

4. Add an additional attempt using the arrows:

5. Click Apply:

6. If the due date for the quiz has already passed, please update the availability for the student under the quiz settings:
