Purpose: Connecting to Remote Desktop


Note: If you are off-campus you must first connect to the Global Protect VPN to access Remote Desktop. To connect to Global Protect, click the icon in the taskbar (Windows) or the menu bar (Mac). You may also navigate to vpn.masters.edu. If you have never been setup with Global Protect, please contact the IT Service Desk. 
  • Navigate to the Start menu, type Remote Desktop Connection, and click on the program.

Or if you are on Mac, open the Microsoft Remote Desktop app.

  • In the Computer Field, type rd-gen.masters.edu, or the name of a different remote desktop.

  • Click Connect and then enter your password on the following screen.

  • If you are unable to connect, please ensure that you are connected to the Global Protect VPN (if off-campus) or TMU-FacStaff WiFi (if on-campus).
