PurposeThis document explains how to use Item Banks in Canvas.

Note: Item Banks are the New Quizzes equivalent of Question Banks, and they can be used across any course where you have permission to create and edit a quiz using New Quizzes.

If you are using the classic quiz engine, you can create question banks, following this documentation: https://tmufacstaff.helpdocsite.com/quizzes/how-do-i-use-a-question-bank

1. Navigate to your Canvas course and select Item Banks in the course sidebar:

4. Choose a question type, enter the question details, and select Done. Repeat until all the questions you need have been added — Canvas will automatically save your work as you go.
